It is possible-from Italian and international museums, libraries, archives or other places of culture-to borrow works held at the National University Library.
The loan application, first screened by the Library, will then be submitted to the higher Directorate General of Libraries and Copyright of the Ministry of Culture, which is responsible for finalizing the application.
As prescribed by the General Directorate of Libraries and Cultural Institutes, the loan request must include:
- Letter from the requesting institution formalizing the loan application
- scientific design of the initiative
- facility report of the exhibition venue
- List of works required (it is essential to indicate the location of materials of interest)
Applications for permission must be received by the National University Library at least 5 months before the start of the exhibition.
