Museums, Libraries, Archives or other Italian and foreign institutions can borrow works preserved at the National University Library. The loan application, first assessed by the Library, will then be submitted to the higher General Directorate for Libraries and Copyright of the Ministry of Culture, responsible for the improvement of the application.
As prescribed by the General Directorate for Libraries and Copyright, the loan request must include:
- letter from the applicant institution formalising the loan application
- scientific project of the initiative
- facility report of the exhibition venue
- list of requested works (it is essential to indicate the location of the materials of interest)
Applications for permission must be sent to the National University Library at least 5 months before the start of the exhibition.
