Access:
Users may enter the room upon registration (see Reception) and reservation via e-mail. For consultation of manuscripts and rare books, proof of faculty status must be presented: vice versa, a letter of introduction signed by an academic, on University letterhead or research organization, attesting to the need to consult such material must be presented.
Services:
In the hall you can:
- consult the volumes arranged in open shelves
- Reproduce by their own means the works owned by the Library for personal and scholarly use, subject to conservation requirements
- Make scans of modern volumes for personal use and study purposes, in compliance with current copyright law
- Requesting manuscript and rare material booked in advance for viewing
- freely consult the Institute’s display case of digitized works at the dedicated PC workstation
A reference service is provided by the staff.
