{"id":3734,"date":"2022-10-26T19:32:35","date_gmt":"2022-10-26T17:32:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bnuto.cultura.gov.it\/?page_id=3734"},"modified":"2026-02-13T11:44:49","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T10:44:49","slug":"ill-interlibrary-loan","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/bnuto.cultura.gov.it\/en\/services\/ill-interlibrary-loan\/","title":{"rendered":"ILL \u2013 InterLibrary Loan"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"l-section wpb_row container-text height_auto\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h2><span style=\"color: #14557c;\"><b>InterLibrary Loan (ILL)<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The interlibrary loan (ILL) service <span style=\"color: #000000;\">is carried out at the distribution-loan room<\/span> and consists of the retrieval, from other Italian or foreign libraries, of books not owned by the Turin National University Library.<\/p>\n<p>Interlibrary loan service, <b>national and international,<\/b> is governed by the <span style=\"color: initial;\">Regulations containing rules on state public libraries (Presidential<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.normattiva.it\/uri-res\/N2Ls?urn:nir:stato:decreto.del.presidente.della.repubblica:1995-07-05;417%21vig=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Decree No. 417, July 5, 1995, Art. 50-60<\/a><span style=\"color: initial;\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Shipping costs are the responsibility of the user.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #14557c;\"><b>Mode<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>*<\/b><b>for users:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A user who wants to use the service must be registered with the Library.<\/p>\n<p>The loan application can be made:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>directly on site in the distribution room<\/li>\n<li>via email to be sent to <a href=\"mailto:bu-to.interbibliotecario@cultura.gov.it\">bu-to.interbibliotecario@cultura.gov.it<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/bnuto.cultura.gov.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/6.1-Modulo-ILL.docx\">(ILL form<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After the request, the user will receive the quote for the service and information about the payment method.<\/p>\n<p><b>*for Libraries.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The loan can be made:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Through the ILL-SBN procedure (for Italian libraries participating in the procedure).<\/li>\n<li>via email to be sent to <a href=\"mailto:bu-to.prenotazioni@cultura.gov.it\">bu-to.interbibliotecario@cultura.gov.it<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The loan has a term of 30 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days. The request for extension must be requested, via email, at least one week before the expiration date. <\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #14557c;\"><b>Responsibility<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The requesting user in the event of failure to collect the requested volume is still required to pay the stipulated expense reimbursements.<\/p>\n<p>The requesting library is responsible for the volume sent from the time of shipment until it is returned.
