In the distribution-loan room it is possible to:
- make photocopies and scans using a self-service copy machine with magnetic cards purchased from the room;
- reproduce the works owned by the Library for personal use and study purposes at its own expense and by its own means (cameras, smartphones, tablets, etc.), in compliance with current copyright law, provided that the conservation status of the works allows reproduction;
In the manuscript room you can obtain a copy of the digital reproductions already owned by the Library; a fee is payable for the service.
To ensure the material’s protection, it is necessary to request the reproduction of the manuscripts by filling out the appropriate form and executing it in the manner and means that are most appropriate.
The works owned by the library can also be reproduced for editorial or commercial purposes, in compliance with current copyright law. It is however necessary to submit a specific application to the Institute that may request a concession fee pursuant to Article 108 of Legislative Decree 22 January 2004, n. 42 and ss.mm.ii (e-mail: bu-to.manoscritti@cultura.gov.it).
For costs related to reproductions of cultural goods, as well as cases of reuse of the same reproductions, please refer to the. scale of charges.
The amounts are established according to D.M. 11 April 2023, rep. n. 161 “Guidelines for the determination of the minimum amounts of fees for the grant of use of the goods delivered to the institutions and places of state culture”.
